Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary, located in Sanguem Taluka, spreads over an area of 211.05 km2. On eastern side it is bounded by Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary and on northern side by Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary.
Flora and Fauna
The forest is predominantly moist deciduous type with patches of semi-evergreen forest in the valleys. The high altitude areas in the hills have natural grassy patches that provide ideal habitat for herbivorous population.This region supports rich diversity of flora and fauna and notable among them are Leopard, Giant Squirrel, Mouse Deer, Nilgiri Wood Pigeon and Ceylon Frogmouth.
